Privacy statement

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This website collects as little as possible. Below is what does happen with data, why, and how long we keep it.

Who is responsible

Ensembia. You can reach us at hello@ensembia.com.

What data we process

Contact form

If you fill in the form, we receive your name, email address, your organisation (if you enter it), the topics you tick and your message. The form sends this as an email to our own mail server. The website itself does not store the content in a database. We use the data to reply to your message.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), namely being able to answer your question.

Protecting the form against abuse

We do not use an external captcha service. When you tick “I am human”, your browser runs a small calculation. Nothing is sent to third parties. To limit abuse we count how many messages come from the same IP address per hour. For that we keep a hashed form of the IP address that cannot be turned back into the address itself. That data is cleaned up after about two hours.

Visitor statistics

We measure visits with Plausible Analytics. It runs on our own server (analytics.ensembia.com), not with an outside party. Your browser only talks to our website, which passes the measurement on to our own analytics server.

Plausible sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. It uses your IP address briefly to derive an anonymous visitor identifier and does not store it. We can see which page was viewed, the referring website, your country, region and city (derived from the IP address), and the type of browser, operating system and device.

We use the IP address to determine your region and possibly your city, for a geographic analysis of our visitors. Plausible does not show the IP addresses of individual visitors in its dashboard. So in the statistics we cannot see which IP address visited our site, nor which route an individual visitor took through the site. We only see totals.

Server logs

Our web server records the IP address, the page, the time and the browser for every request. We use this for security and to find faults. The logs are archived daily and deleted after 90 days.

Language preference

If you switch the language yourself, we remember that in a cookie. See the cookie policy.

What does not happen

This website loads no fonts, scripts or images from outside parties, uses no advertising or tracking services and does not share your data with third parties.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
